Placed on the Astros 40-man roster for the first time in 2007...earned Carolina League Mid-season All-Star honors and led Class A Salem and ranked third in the Carolina League with 18 saves in 2007...led Class A Lexington with 10 saves in 2006...named Dominican Summer League Post-season All-Star in 2004.

Combined to go 3-5 with a 3.93 ERA (32ER/73.1IP) in 50 appearances with Corpus Christi and Round Rock...was invited to his first Major League Spring Training and did not allow a run in his four appearances (3.1IP)...began the regular season with Corpus Christi and went 2-5 with a 4.13 ERA (30ER/65.1IP) in a team-leading 47 appearances...also led the team with five saves...posted his best statistical month in May by going 2-0 with two saves and a 3.14 ERA (5ER/14.1IP)...promoted to Round Rock in late August and made three appearances with the Express, going 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA (2ER/8IP)...played for Licey in the Dominican Winter League and went 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA (8ER/10.2IP) in 17 games...
